This
writer/artist has a real talent for entertaining.
He is a favorite of Air Personalities from
Willies Place on XM Rado to stations from
Austin TX to the UK. His personality captures
an audience in his first few words. He
lights up the stage as well as the room
whether he is performing as a single, duo
or with his entire band BOTH BARRELS.
Lonnie has had over 30 songs recorded
by other artists including his composition "Keystone
Coal" which was recorded by Bobby Osborne
on Bobbys 2009 "Bluegrass and Beyond" CD.
Lonnie has three of his own CD's to his credit
and counting.
Lonnie is definitely "Unapologetically
Honky Tonk" which is the title of his 2nd
CD. One of his greatest honors was having Johnny
Bush sing a duet with him on "Close Up The
Honky Tonks". Robert K Orrman, a Nashville
music critic, gave the CD a "Must Listen" in
his Music Row Magazine column. He stated "It's
my kind of record".
Between his 1st CD "My Future Ain't What
It Use To Be" and his 2nd CD "Unapologetically
Honky Tonk" he charted 6 times on the Best
In Texas chart and is a staple on the European
CMA Chart having scored 5 #1's off of his second
CD. He recentlyd id a tour in England and Wales
which was a huge success. Maverick Magazine,
the Country Music Magazine of the UK, did an
exteded article on him as did The Best In Texas
magazine.
If you haven't had the pleasure of seeing
Lonnie perform live then put on your boots;
get ready
to laugh, dance and hear what Texas Honky Tonk
sounds like because LONNIE SPIKER is "COMING
TO A HONKY TONK NEAR YOU"...OH and by the
way, that is the title of his 3rd CD which includes
duets with Amber Digby and Justin Trevino.
